Bier en Brood (Beer and Bread) is an art formation consisting of Koen Harmsma and Jelmer Noordeman. Both guys are illustrators and graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy.

"Inspired by machines, nature and architecture, we have a unique style that paints a dark apocalyptic and / or psychedelic world. The drawings are often very detailed pen drawings. For a larger canvas we use aerosols. Although our interests lie in the unconventional, we aspire to offer a spectrum of art as wide as possible without losing artistic authenticity. Detail and format are terms that are central to our work. We like to work with black and white and try to give the viewer the feeling he can get lost in our work. Who is taking a good look will be rewarded occasionally with a hidden joke. "
