The mural at the Newonstraat 1 was ready to be re-newed!
The celectricity house was painted in 2009 by artist Sjors Kouthoofd and it was therefore only logical to approach him again to re-do the project. Prior to the painting Sjors has made three designs that local residents could vote for. Ultimately, the design "Birds in the water" got the most votes.
Sjors has been working for about a week on his artwork and told us that he has received many positive reactions from the neighborhood. It has become a very nice house again and with its own unique style its a great addition to the "The Hague Street Art Tour"
